Finally underway on Wednesday, after a bubble in the front tire, and a side trip to NH to get the Add-A-Brake re-adjusted. We only got to Sturbridge, MA that first night. Next morning, we headed to Gettysburg, PA. We drove over some of the worst roads I’ve ever seen – like washboards – and through one of the most severe thunder storms I’ve ever seen. I really expected to see hail and funnel clouds. Lucky for us it didn’t happen. Gettysburg is a neat little walkable town in beautiful farm country. I don’t have to tell you how much history is here. We took a private guided tour of the battlefield. I never thought a battle could be so interesting, but our guide, Howie, really made it come to life. We loved it. Next day we revisited the battlefields with Stella and did lots of walking. She thought it was really cool too. We did a brief “ghost tour” on Saturday night. We got more history than ghosts from that. No surprise. We’re just chillin’ on Sunday to prepare for the road again tomorrow. Claudia
