We’ve settled in to a regular routine here in Texas and we love it. It’s been so nice to be able to relax over the past month and a half and still be able to turn our new motor coach into our motor "home". We enjoy almost daily happy hours when we get to just sit around and socialize with our friends as well as enjoying just a few of the many other social activities available such as grill and pub nights or just lounging in the main pool. Claudia’s been enjoying Zumba, Yoga and Water Aerobics classes and she also joined a bowling team that plays every Friday morning while I’ve been focusing my attention on playing lots of tennis and water volleyball. We've also taken the time to add shelves, hang pictures and personalize our new home. We moved over one site to our new permanent address as planned. We had been waiting for this move since we arrived and were thrilled to be back on the site that we were on last year. This time it’s a on a brand new pad of concrete and it’s beautiful. We picked up a small shed so we now have a dry place to store our bikes and a few other essentials we like to have on hand. Our friends Jim and Nancy arrived for the winter a few weeks ago and more recently our friends Don and Margot arrived for a few months. We’ve been enjoying time with all of them. We also enjoyed a night out at the Symphony with about 20 of our friends. The performance included not only a full symphony orchestra and chorus but also featured a 16 piece Mariachi orchestra. The entire show was outstanding. We enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with many of our friends here in Texas although we sure did miss our family back home. We did have a great video call with many of our family however who got together at my sister’s house so we really enjoyed that. A couple of weeks ago we headed off to Alvarado, Texas to get some warranty work done on the motor home at the dealer where we bought it. It was an 8 ½ drive so we stopped half way in New Braunfels and did some shopping at the Camping World there for some necessary RV supplies. Once we arrived at the dealer we headed directly over to the new service center. We weren’t sure what to expect since this was our first time there and we’ve heard so many horror stories about some of the RV dealers and the service or I should say lack of service many of them provide. We showed up with our list of 10 items we wanted corrected and they couldn’t have been more accommodating or helpful. They had some trouble diagnosing our most serious issue that was related to our inverter that transfers AC electricity to DC and vice versa but they did determine that we needed a new inverter and since that was installed everything has worked perfect. While they worked on the inverter issue they addressed each and every one of the issues we had on our list, everything from a stove burner not working to a leaky shower was addressed and corrected in a very professional manner. We left there late afternoon of the second day feeling like the trip was totally worth it. We made an overnight stop a couple of hours down the road before finishing our trip back here to our winter home in Edinburg. Since coming back it’s been lots of tennis for me while Claudia continues her Zumba, water aerobics and her bowling. Mostly, as usual, we’ve just been enjoying the company of our friends in some very nice weather. I had a great birthday here that started off with 3 sets of tennis followed by breakfast at Flip Flopz, our campground diner with Claudia and my tennis mates. Later I enjoyed some birthday cake at another camper’s site who has the same birthday as I do and to end the day I relaxed on my couch in front of our fireplace and watched a great football game between the Pats and the Chargers. The Pats came through for me to end the day on a perfect note. Now it’s back to routine for a while. Zumba, Yoga and water aerobics classes as well as Friday morning bowling league tournaments for Claudia and lots of tennis and water volleyball for me. Of course we have our daily happy hours, our weekly grill and pub nights and a whole lot of other things to keep us busy as well. We miss you all but other than that; life is very good right now!! We hope you all have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa!!
